Guinness World Records has confirmed a historic milestone in Nigerian music. A live concert featuring Fuji legend Saheed Osupa, KS1 Malaika, Rybeena, T.I Blaze, and 81 other musicians has set the record for the largest orchestra performing Afrobeats.

The achievement took place during “Trench Symphony: The Dapper Live Experience” on December 16, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos. A total of 85 musicians performed together under a conductor, delivering a synchronized orchestral arrangement built around Afrobeats.

The performance also included a lead singer, choir, dancers, and a full orchestra, blending the energy of Afrobeats with orchestral instrumentation. The result was a large scale musical presentation that showcased both musical precision and cultural creativity.

Organisers announced the record after Guinness World Records completed its official review and verification of the event.

The concert featured performances from several artists including T.I Blaze, Rybeena, Bhadboi OML, Kashcoming, TML Vibez, Lasmid, Heis Cazulee, and Dwillsharmony, alongside Fuji icons KS1 Malaika and King Saheed Osupa. Their performances created a unique fusion of Afrobeats, Fuji music, and orchestral composition.

According to Guinness World Records, the record was achieved by Dapper Live & Artists, a Nigerian music company. The organisation confirmed that the orchestra consisted of 85 musicians performing simultaneously, making it the largest Afrobeats orchestra ever assembled.

The event demonstrated how Afrobeats can evolve beyond traditional performances by integrating orchestral arrangements. It also highlighted the growing global influence of Nigerian music and the ability of local artists to create large scale productions that attract international recognition.

Dapper Live & Artists is linked to Nigerian music executive Damilola Akinwunmi, widely known as Dapper. He is also known for his association with celebrity chef and multiple Guinness World Record holder Hilda Baci.

With this achievement, Trench Symphony has secured its place in music history while celebrating the innovation and cultural power of Nigeria’s contemporary sound.
